Moonshine

In a Joseon era where alcohol has been outlawed, Kang Ro-seo has a very practical reason for breaking the law: she needs the money. Brewing and secretly selling liquor becomes her best chance to support her family even if getting caught could cost her everything. Nam Young, meanwhile, is a principled inspector determined to enforce the prohibition and build a respectable future in the capital. When the rule-following officer and the secret moonshiner become entangled in each other’s lives, staying on opposite sides of the law gets increasingly complicated. Moonshine blends historical romance, comedy, and intrigue in a story where forbidden liquor fuels an underground world of ambition and danger and falling for the person who could ruin you may be the riskiest choice of all.
