Made in Korea

In 1970s South Korea, Baek Ki-tae lives two lives: an elite intelligence agent serving the government and an ambitious businessman building power through the criminal underworld. With money, influence, and powerful connections at his disposal, he seems capable of turning almost any situation to his advantage. Standing in his way is Jang Geon-young, a relentless prosecutor who refuses to be bought or intimidated. As his investigation draws him deeper into Ki-tae’s world, their pursuit of each other becomes a dangerous battle of ambition, corruption, and survival, one that reaches far beyond the two men themselves. Made in Korea is a sprawling crime thriller about the pursuit of power during a turbulent period in Korean history, where the line between serving the country and exploiting it can become dangerously thin.
