Pi-o tells him they were classmates and expresses gratitude that he is alive. Offended, Jeong-yo asks the director to escort Pi-o out. Pi-o insists Jeong-yo call him if he visits Korea, but leaves hurt that he is not remembered.
Hong Jae-in, Pi-o’s manager, calls him about the news of Jeong-yo’s reappearance. Watching the interview where Jeong-yo admits his memory loss, Pi-o recalls his own interview with Jeong-yo’s abductor. Jae-in visits Pi-o’s home and asks if he is feeling better. Pi-o admits he was not happy to see Jeong-yo. She reminds him that they are bound to meet again and asks when he will return to practice.
Kang Ji-hye, Pi-o’s mother, becomes furious upon seeing the news of Jeong-yo’s reappearance and his amnesia. She storms into her office and later confronts her father, Maestro Kang, opposing the invitation for Jeong-yo to perform with the Hankook Symphony. She also meets President Yoon Seong-ju to discuss subsidies, but Yoon tells her she must rely on endorsements.
Professor Do Hyun-soo watches the video of Jeong-yo in disbelief.
Pi-o walks around the school, reminiscing about his days practicing with Jeong-yo. He imagines seeing Jeong-yo sitting on the stairs and offers him a tour of the school. They talk about their closeness, revisit their classroom, and enter the practice room. Pi-o asks what piece they once played. He claims to suffer from tendinitis, while Jeong-yo plays the piano with one hand, explaining that his right shoulder was shot and he lost the ability to play. They shake hands at the gate before Jeong-yo leaves.
Pi-o remembers the day he caught his mother returning home at dawn and confronts her about it.
He calls Vogel and tells him that he wants to know who was behind Choi Jeong-yo’s kidnapping.
